WOW!!!! Great show. Well polished performance, excellent early-mid 50's Nashville, Louisiana Blues. Muddy Waters would have been proud. Have not seen that music played live, but have heard original recordings. The DAMN GOOD BLUES BAND was dead on with the original intent of sound, lyrics and emotion/feeling.” - Paul Land

The DAMN GOOD BLUES BAND absolutely tore it up at the Berlin Jazz & Blues Bash last Saturday! The band, fronted by singer/slide guitarist Matthew Patrick, played an hour long set of original and classic blues material that had the audience dancing in the streets. Front-man Patrick has an incredibly soulful voice and played searing slide guitar licks evocative of Robert Johnson and Duane Allman. The band, featuring acoustic bass, drums, and harmonica, played with polished intensity, following Patrick through scorching renditions of such songs as "Who Do You Love" by Bo Diddley and, of course, "Mustang Sally" by Wilson Pickett. A highlight of the show was the debut of some of Patrick's new original material, including "Don't You Dog Me 'Round" and "Rich Man Blues" off a soon to be released CD. The DAMN GOOD BLUES BAND is a hidden treasure of the Eastern Shore. Be sure to check them out at their regular gig at The Globe theatre in Berlin.” - Mary Daisy Shockley

These boys play it like we used to! I'd like to have them play on a record with me.” - James Cotton ( Muddy Waters Band)
Really nice slide guitar work!!” - Bruce Iglauer

The DAMN GOOD BLUES BAND plays down-home acoustic gut-bucket blues and fired up electric rockers with equal ease. Matthew Patrick's scorching slide guitar work is a treat! His soulful vocals and excellent songwriting are added bonuses. The band is powerful and tight, rollicking through such numbers as "Shake Your Hips" by Slim Harpo and "Bottle Up & Go" by Tommy McClennan. They are a group to watch out for.” - Jack Seitz
